Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Try Easier app and website at tryeasier.app (collectively, the "Services"), operated by Try Easier LLC, a Michigan limited liability company ("Try Easier," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms.
Using the App
You may use Try Easier for your personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to:
- Use the Services for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or redistribute any part of the app
- Interfere with or disrupt the Services or servers connected to them
- Use the Services to transmit harmful, abusive, or objectionable content
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Services for violations of these Terms.
Accounts
You can use Try Easier without an account, with your data stored on your device. To enable cloud backup and sync, you can sign in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for maintaining access to your account and device. We are not liable for data loss resulting from a lost or replaced device if you have not enabled cloud backup.
Subscriptions and Payments
Try Easier offers optional paid features through a subscription ("Try Easier Pro"). Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. All billing, refunds, and payment disputes are governed by the platform through which you purchased the subscription. We do not process payments directly.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple or Google account settings.
Your Data
Your habit data belongs to you. We do not claim ownership over the content you create in the app. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data.
Research Participation
Try Easier includes an optional habit-formation research program. Participation is off by default, requires your explicit consent through an in-app consent screen, and is limited to users 18 and older. Declining or withdrawing never affects your use of the app. The consent screen and our Privacy Policy describe what data is shared and how to withdraw or delete contributed data.
Intellectual Property
The Try Easier name, logo, app design, and all content within the Services are owned by Try Easier LLC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not use our branding or content without our written permission.
Not Medical or Mental-Health Advice
Try Easier is a self-improvement tool, not a medical device. It does not provide medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a substitute for professional care. If you are experiencing a health or mental-health concern, consult a qualified provider. If you are in crisis, contact a qualified provider or your local emergency services.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Michigan law, Try Easier LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Services. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Services shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, if any.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Try Easier LLC and its officers and agents from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Services.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Services shall be resolved in the courts of Michigan.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page, and for material changes we will provide notice through the app or the website before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
Miscellaneous
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Try Easier LLC regarding the Services. Your download and use of the app are also subject to the applicable terms of the Apple App Store or Google Play.
